Welcome to Washington Banner Groups we are here to promote all types of banners in Washington.
Most of the banner are colliery lodge banners but we also include school banners,jazz band banners as well as other organizations.
We need your help in tracking down famous banners which have disappeared and we are on the look out for information on banners which are not listed on our site.
As well as information on banners we will highlight some of the events which we will be attending and giving you the chance to come with us. Over the next 12 months the Washington F Pit Banner Group, along with the Usworth Miners Banner Group, will be attending a number of events including the Washington Heritage Carnival, Durham Miners Gala, Bowburn Heritage Day and will be appearing at a number of primary schools to share memories of mining and industrial life in Washington.
